Life's Update!

Good Day Friends and Followers,

It has been quite some time since I have updated my blog and with tutorials piling up I thought it was time to update. I have been dealing with some real life issues thus the reason for my absence. My daughter is now married, as of December 3rd and I just recently found out that I am going to become a GRANDMA with the due date being October 3rd 2011 (maybe the new baby will be born on my birthday October 2nd... that would be cool)

My Mom was put in the hospital on Friday February 4th for what is called portal hypertension which resulted in gastric varices. Here is a short explanation of this condition:

Gastric varices are dilated submucosal veins in the stomach, which can be a life-threatening cause of upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage. They are most commonly found in patients with portal hypertension, or elevated pressure in the portal vein system, which may be a complication of cirrhosis.

She will ultimately need to have a non invasive surgical procedure performed called TIPS (Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt). If you are interested in this procedure there is alot of information that can be googled.

Last week I got together with and old grammar school friend of mine who I had not seen in 20 years and found out that she had just had a heart attack and suffers from congestive heart failure and Saturday February 5th she under went a 5 way heart bypass where she was told she would only have a 20% chance of coming through.

Keeping in close contact with my friend I learned that her mom came through the bypass and is doing well. I hope to learn more in the very near future.

So this is what my life has consisted of. Just keep the prayers coming for all of my family and for my friend and her family.

Hello World,
Well as you can see from my small update my beautiful daughter arrived back in the USA late September 2010. I was hoping to get to see her after she did get back from Iraq but unfortunately that was not the case. She has met a man that she fell head over heels for and he for her... Long story short... They Wed on December 3, 2010... I will not put forth my feelings of this marriage but will state that I hope that she has a happy life and I am there for her no matter what...

Courtney is due home on December 20, 2010.... YAYYYYYYY!!!! I miss her so very much... I will be meeting my new son in law the day before she arrives... she has no clue he will be here before she comes home... she believes he will be here on Christmas Eve... its a surprise... (No worries she dont read my blog lol) Any way I sure do hope that this Christmas is a very nice one....

Well just wanted to update everyone of the latest happenings.... Even though she is married now (simple courthouse wedding) she wants a ceremony here at home so will see how that all pans out.... Thanks for reading..

Tag Show Off

Hello Friends and Followers,
Today I bring to you 2 Beautiful tags that I created using Puddicat Creations kit called "Bethy Fairytale". I have to say that I adored this kit and so very much enjoyed working with it. I did not create a tutorial this time as when I had finished with each of them had so many layers it would be a very tedious task to write and explain how I got the result I did. The first tag shown is called "Spring Fairy" and she ended up having 47 layers. The second tag I called "Fairytale Dreams" ended with 34 layers. I spent hours on them both. Sometimes we just need to make creations that are all our own and show off our creativity. I hope that you enjoy my creativity and that they can tempt you at Cindy of Puddicat Creations wonderful Kit.

DREAM HEART TUTORIAL

This Tutorial was written a few months ago and just never had the time to get it up here on my blog.

I used Irene Alexeeva's "Kind of Magic Kit" as well as a few Elements from Flerg's Buttercup 2 Kit.
This was originally done by a friend in a group I am on and upon permission to write a tutorial from her original this is as close as I could get. Thank you Cathy for allowing me to write this tutorial using your creation.

Army Basic Training Graduation Has Nearly Arrived

It has been awhile since I have been here on my blog but I wanted to share with you all that Army Basic Training Graduation time has come. My brave daughter has made it and will be graduating on October 2, 2009. This is not only a special day for her but for me as well, as it will be my Birthday. It will definately be a day I will never forget. When I get back I will be certain to post pictures that I have taken during the trip. I am getting ready for my day long trip from CA all the way to Fort Jackson, SC. I leave in about half an hour so I hope that you all have a wonderful rest of the week.

Well I have finally gotten another tutorial done. Well there are 2 but "My Heart" has been done for awhile I just never got around to getting it up here so you all knew that I had it. I have not updated my updates on my tut site as yet but that is next after I get them up here and post to a few groups. Any way I hope that you like them.

I joined The Creativity Box as a CT a few days ago and this is the first kit I requested. I call this tutorial "Sweet Rowan" named after Suzanne Woolcott's Tube. The scrap kit used is called "Honey Pot" by Jules Junk. Tutorial is located Here as well.

I have just finished 3 new tutorials. I have "Independent Love", Cupid's Arrow and "Rockin' Toon" Below are the previews and descriptions of each kit that I used to create them and where you can obtain kits for each of them. I created this tutorial with JosDZigns "Cupid's Target" Kit which can be purchased at "Sweet N Sassy Digi Scrappers" I found myself with a little mental block with this one but I was finally able to get it done :) The tutorial can be found HERE.

Second "Independent Love"

I created this tutorial using Tina's Magical World's "Miss Independent" kit which can be purchased at United Scraps 4 Taggers. I really enjoyed working with this kit and love the result as well. The Tutorial can be found HERE.

Third "Rockin' Toon"

I created this tutorial using Created By Jill's "Rion Rocks 2" Kit which can be purchased at United Scraps 4 Taggers. I also had fun with this kit. I actually made the tag and tutorial in one day. I am so so behind in things since work has started to pick up a bit and I am working more hours than I have been since I started my job back just before Christmas. I will not bore you but rather show the previews and information about my two new tutorials. I also have 2 more in the works that I have to still get written up so be on the look out for those.

Wow this is totally awesome. Our kit has not been out 12 hours and someone has already created with it. Ok well I am sorry but this came from someone on a group which my friend Carmin is on and she shared it with me. I was so excited I had to share it here too. I am sorry this person does not have a blog or website or anything and I do not know how I can share tha actual IM letter with you so please do not ask. I simply wanted to share the wonderful creation. The lady goes by "Thankful" so if this is you.... You did a Fabby job and I just love it.

Another Cherry Chip Tut

I just came across a message that I recieved in August of a tutorial that had been written using my very first scrap kit called "Cherry Chip". I have to apologize to Beth S of Angelz Dezire for not posting this sooner.The Tut she has written is called Thinking About You. Here is the preview if you would like to give it a try.

Ok its time to get some rest now so hope to have my new tut written tomorrow. Life has been hectic with trying to submit applications for work after far too many years. This week alone I submitted 8 and I am signed up with a job agency who called me today to go for an interview on Friday Morning. It isnt a permanent job but its a start after so long out of the work force lol.

As you can tell I have been MIA for quite awhile. I apologize for this but real life had to come first. Lots of things have gone on in the past few months that have just kept me away from keeping up with my blog. I hope to have some new things up for you all soon. I don't know what it will be but what ever it is I hope you like what I will have. I am keeping this short just wanted to let yo all know that I am still around just not been on the blog much.

I would like to take the time also to thank the wonderful ladies who have given me awards. It is so nice to see that you enjoy my blog.

Another Freebie

Hello Everyone,

Today I bring you another freebie. This one is of some roses from my rose bushes which I took photos of and then extracted them. The very top flower is the original and the others are colorized using variations filter. These are not useful for large scrapping projects. They were made for scrappers in mind.

My son has his first ball game tonight since it was cancelled last week due to massive smoke in the air from all the fires so we are getting ready to leave to watch him play. I plan on taking pics too :)

My daughter left today to fly to Arizona to visit with her biological father so it has been a pretty busy day for me.

Happy Friday Everyone,

I have been busy with a new look on my blog. I am learning how to modify templates and get them to look the way I want. I am pleased with the outcome of this one :). I have also been busy with tons of other things too. I just finished creating a new set for my friend but she does not have her blog changed over yet or I would have a link.

It has been hotter than a dickens here in the North State of California and I am really getting sick of the smoky air and ash. My son was suppose to have his first game with the Junior Giants yesterday but because there was so much smoke in the air it was not safe for them to play so it was cancelled :(. I was really looking forward to the game but oh well they will have 2 games next week so long as the smoke is not so bad.

My carpet has finally gotten installed but I still have to wait till mid week or so next week before my furniture comes in. I guess I am lucky to have my computer at this point but then hubby knows I would be ripping everyones hair out with out it ha ha ha.

Ok with the updates out of the way it is time for a new freebie. It is not much but I enjoyed creating these and hope that you can find a use for them. When downloading please leave some love as it is nice to know my work is being appreciated.

I also want to mention that during the time that I was transitioning to a new layout I lost all of my link lists so I have to re add them. I will be working on this through the weekend. I was not happy about the loss but I suppose that kind of thing happens when you don't know exactly what your doing with this blogging stuff lol.

PTU Kit and Freebie Kit

Hello Everyone,

Sorry it has been awhile since I have posted but things are really craxy here for me. Man I never thought that redoing a living room would be so draining but exciting at the same time. I will spare you all the details but any way I had ordered carpet from one company in town and ended up having huge problems with them so I cancelled the order, Unfortunately it cost us $125.00 for a stupid restock fee. They wanted to make us pay more but that did not happen. Any how I went with a different company just down the street and my carpet will be in mid week or so and will be installed the Monday after the 4th of July. Wooo Hooo I am really excited about that.

Now my furnitrue was a differet story. No probs there, it was really a matter of what we liked the best and getting the best deal LOL. We ended up purchasing a set from McMahan's furniture as opposed to another local outfit. We got the Sofa, Loveseat and Reclyner (the sofa and loveseat are recliners too) for the same price it would have cost for just a sofa and love seat at the other place. The furniture is suppose to be in around the 16th but hopefully sooner.

Ok with all of this said and done I have a new PTU and a freebie for you. This is a kit that my dauther (17 yrs old) and I started on Friday. The colors were of her choosing and we worked together for the papers and elements so I do hope that you all like it. From the previews it is a little wild and wacky and thus she named it Wild Explosion.

She left with my cousin this eve for the rest of the week so that puts a hold on another new one we are going to work on called Polka Dot Fury (that was her choice of a name lol)

OMG... I Have been Tagged...

Wow this was such a surprise... I have not been around much due to many many things going on with my home so when I looked at my blog today I seen I had another message stating Ihad been tagged by Lisa of Frosted Illusions (One of My fav tut writers and scrappers). Thanks girl... your awesome sooo here goes:

Rules for being tagged are:

Now for the 7 facts about myself (which is not really easy...hmmm some thought has to go into this lol)....

1. I am a complete computer fanatic (whether it being designing or buildin)

2. I am a very disorganized person and I hate it.

3. I HATE being late for anything!!!

4. I love wolves and anything Native American even though I am as white as white can be... lol

5. I love t knit, crochet and sew when time allows or I allow myself to do so.

6. I completely HATE windy weather and HATE snow (thank goodness I live where it very rarely snows but wind is another story)

7. I have a love/hate relationship with cooking. I hate the clean up but love supper time as that is when my family is all together at one time... for now any way).

Heat Wave

Wow!!!!
Today was a rockin 103 % here in Northern California and it is going to continue on for the rest of the weekend. We do not have central air in our home rather a swamp cooler, which if the temp goes over 100 does not do much to keep us cool. It is now 2:00 A.M. and still 75% out but does feel better then the rest of the day had lol.

I have to say what a 'rockin' lauch of my very first kit. I am so very proud and appreciate all of your comments (yup I read them all!!) I only wish that everyone that downloaded would comment but we all know that is not going to happen. It is just really nice to know for a newbie's work is appreciated.

With this all said I have several more color palettes up my sleeve. I will not name them as I don't want anyone to take the names and I hope that I do not take a name that someone else has for a kit. With so many designers out there it is not easy to do lol

Well off my soap box for the night as I need to get some much needed sleep. I was up till nearly 3:30 A.M. yesterday and was up by 9:00 A.M. I tried to take a nap but my mind does not let me do so as it just keeps thinking about this that and the other ha ha.

It is suppose to be 104% today so I hope that I can keep cool and creative as well. Heck it's Friday I wanna have more fun lol.

My First Free Kit

Hello Everyone,

Well I have finally taken the plunge and created my very first scrap kit. This kit is based on my new blog lol. Go figure. It took me quite some time to get this one done as I have had continuous computer problems. I have been having to use my kids computer as mine has bit the dust again and no idea when I will get it fixed. Sure I have my laptop but I have very limited space on it.... sooooooo.... Had to boot the kids off of theirs for my play.

I do hope that you will share your results with me whether it being a new tag, tutorial or whatever. This is a Taggers size kit so it is not of print quality. Thanks for looking and please do leave some love when downloading.

My First Freebie

Hello Friends,

I have been working really hard on getting my new blog up and running and since I had also been playing in the previous weeks I have created some items that I hope that you will all like and be able to use. All Items in these packages are not taggers sizes however if you need to reduce the sized then by all means do so for you tags. I did not want to resize anything for clarity. Well Here we go...... There is a pack of 6 floral flowers and 6 floral bows.

I hope to get some pictures of my MIL's sweater so that you will get an idea of what my very first kit is going to look like. I have some papers done but so far that is all that is done lol. Oh yea, the files in the zips are both png and psp so that everyone will be able to open and use them.

New Journey

Hello Great Friends,
I have embarked on a brand new journey and somewhat straying away from my normal sig tag, stationary creating into this not so new world of digital scrap booking. I love to create and share so for now I will have a variety of things for the scrappers to choose from. I only hope that you all will like what I have to offer and that you will comment when you download my offerings.
Digital scrap designers take some time to create their kits and for others they seem to wing them out right and left, for me on the other hand will take longer. I guess I do not have as creative a mind like I once did but then again this is a new endeavor for me so I still wonder really where to start when creating.
With this said, I hope to bring you my very first kit ever and it will be called "Cherry Chip" no it has no connection with the name of my site rather it has a connection with a sweater I am crocheting for my Mother In Law. I will take some pictures of the pieces and post them tomorrow (or later today rather). This yarn was my inspiration for this very first kit.
It is now 3:00 A.M. so I must get some rest if I am going to get anything else done later. I thank you for visiting and I hope to have more content soon. I do have some things on the burner ready to roll out so keep an eye out in the next few days.
